Currently Under the Red White and Blue is my only novel, and as it over 100,000 words long I have included the first three chapters for your sampling as well as a brief overview.

Set July 1919 to July 1920, Under the Red White and Blue introduces twelve characters of differing socioeconomic, political, religious, and educational backgrounds whose lives are closely, though often unknowingly, intertwined. The settings range from Manhattan penthouses to San José mountains, the Guatemalan coast to the Russian hinterland, providing backdrop for the characters’ daily immersion into the formative, divisive issues of the time: public fear of radical political ideologies, feminism and gender roles, the exchange of liberty for government-afforded safety, racial violence, instability and conflict in Russia, U.S. economic imperialism, and the role of media in shaping and directing public opinion.
